    Following the demise of Ghanaian gospel veteran, Yaw Sarpong, GhanaWeb took to the streets to gather reflections from Ghanaians who shared fond memories of the veteran musician.

    Amid the grief, many fans recalled the impact of his songs and what they meant to them personally.

    More tributes poured in, throwing the spotlight on how Yaw Sarpong’s music have inspired and motivated both the old and younger generations.

    With such love and admiration expressed, it is evident that while Yaw Sarpong may be gone, he will never be forgotten.

    “Yaw Sarpong is my mentor. His songs encourage me and remind me that no situation is permanent,” one woman said.

    “His song Wo Haw Ne Sen is one I will never forget. It was played a lot when I lost my dad, so every time I hear it, I remember him,” another person shared.

    Another added, “He was a very calm and respectable man. We never heard any bad news about him while he was alive.”
