Ghanaian athletes have posted impressive times in their build-up to the 2025 World Athletics Championship.
In the men’s 100 meters category, Abdul-Rasheed Saminu leads with a time of 9.84 seconds (+1.5), followed by Benjamin Azamati, who clocked 9.98 seconds (+1.2).
Other Ghanaian sprinters include Ibrahim Fuseini with 10.03 seconds, Barnabas Aggerh with 10.06 seconds, and Joseph Paul Amoah with 10.08 seconds.

Mustapha Bokpin also recorded a personal best of 10.09 seconds, while Isaac Botsio followed closely with 10.11 seconds.
Meanwhile, Ghana’s 4x100m relay team has commenced their training camp at Texas A&M University, USA, as part of preparations for the upcoming championship in Tokyo, Japan.
Team Ghana, comprising Joseph Paul Amoah, Sean Safo-Antwi, Ibrahim Fuseini, Barnabas Aggerh, and Mustapha Alufu Bokpin, secured qualification after finishing second in their heat at the World Athletics Relays in Guangzhou, China.
