Gary Barlow‘s son could earn millions from his new-found fame, brand experts say, despite him previously shunning showbiz to become a doctor.
Daniel Barlow has shot to shame after loving family snap posted by the Take That singer spread like wildfire across social media – when after fans spotted the 24-year-old was towering over his famous father.
The Greatest Day hitmaker, 53 – who throughout his career has reportedly raked in a whopping £90million fortune – barely reaches his son’s shoulder in the wholesome photo, which Gary originally posted to mark Father’s Day in June 2023.
Fans this week turned the wholesome snap into a flurry of jokes and ‘memes’ – but a brand and culture expert says Daniel could capitalise on his moment in the spotlight to rake in modelling and TV work.
Nick Ede said: ‘Gary Barlow has always kept his family out of the limelight on purpose so that they could live a life as safely and discreetly as possible.

‘But with his son trending because of his height and the difference between himself and his dad the internet is awash with memes and jokes – and if he’s clever he could really maximise on it.
‘He could totally capitalise on his height; there are lots of brands out there that cater for tall men and they are always looking for spokespeople and models, and with his good looks and great body he could really become a poster boy for the taller man.
‘I think fashion and modelling would be perfect for him, his mother used to be a model and dancer and Gary is no stranger to a photoshoot so I am sure they can help him with his poses.
‘You can make a lot of money as a brand ambassador and I am sure if he used his social media well her would be snapped up by brands like M&S, Jacamo and High and Mighty.’
Instead of following in his father’s footsteps, Daniel has so far pursued a more studious path and studied medicine at university. His sister Emily has also gone into the sciences, studying physiology.
He is believed to have graduated last year, with his proud parents Gary and Dawn by his side.
And Mr Ede says there is no need to give this up if he wants to persue a lucrative career in the public eye – and he can capitalise on his skills.
He continued: ‘I am sure if his first love is medicine then he may want to pursue that.

‘It depends on what he wants to do in that field – if he were to go private then he can make a lot of money but everyone has a side hustle now and I am sure he can do both.
‘If you look at someone like Dr Alex who appeared on Love Island and has now become a well known TV doctor and mental health advocate it really can work to your advantage.
‘The same with Dr Ranj, who is known as a NHS doctor but also has appeared on Strictly, in musicals and has written a series of children’s books about health and wellbeing.
‘If he plays it well and graduates well then this would be the ideal route… Dr Barlow will see you now!’

Although the Daniel =looks massive, in reality he is said to only be a few inches taller than the average British man.
The average height for a man in the UK is 5’9, and 5’3 for a woman. Daniel, who is pursuing a career in medicine, is reported to stand at an impressive 6’2, but seems taller next to his father. Yet in reality, Barlow is only a few inches shorter than average at 5’7.
Gary has previously spoken of his pride in his super-fit son’s career – but said he would not have been opposed to him following in his footsteps.
Speaking to The Mirror, he said ‘The two oldest ones [Daniel and Emily] have kind of gone into medicine and physiology – studying strength and conditioning – and my youngest one, Daisy, I’m not too sure what she’s heading for but again, she’s very studious… unlike me and my wife.
‘I don’t think they will follow in my music footsteps but I wouldn’t have discouraged them though if they did want to, it’s been a good business for me’.
The former Take That star – who has three children with his wife of 25 years Dawn Andrews – tends to keep his personal life out of the spotlight.
The father-and-son duo had their arms around each other in the picture, posted shortly after Barlow celebrated his son’s achievement completing the Ironman competition, which saw him tackle a 2.4 mile swim, 112 mile bike ride, and 26.2 mile run.
He wrote: ‘We just couldn’t be prouder of our boy – unbelievable amounts of training and determination – when you put in the work you get the results. Congratulations #ironman.’
But the photo went viral, with many commenting ‘Gary Barhigh’ below.
Memes compared the picture to a scene in the Christmas movie Elf, where human-sized Buddy struggles to fit in at the North Pole because everything is too tiny for him.
Another captioned ‘Gary Barlow’s son looking at all these memes about him on Twitter’ above a picture of a tiny model of a phone.
It was held in a hand which looks huge in comparison.

Others posted photos of the celebrity with items which could be seen as clothing – such as a check pattern wall – captioned: ‘Gary Barlow standing in front of his son’s new cardigan.’
References were also made to how 6’2 Donald Trump’s son Barron – who is 18-years-old – also towers over him at an impressive height of 6’7.
Back in 2022, the singer shared another rare snap of his towering son for his 22nd birthday.
He wrote: ‘Happy 22nd Birthday to our Dan. We love you mate and you make us so proud every day’.
He has his arm around Daniel’s waist, with his head barely above his shoulder.
Barlow shares his three children with wife Dawn, a backup dancer who was on tour with Take That in 1995 and who he married in 2000.
