The curious tale of how a Lamborghini ended up at the home of dole bludger has been exposed in a Sydney court.

Mahmoud ‘Bargo’ Bargshoon had been on Centrelink for five years when he was arrested in his underpants while in possession of the Lamborghini in Sydney‘s west in July last year.

Unflattering footage showed heavily armed police dragging Bargshoon from the Parramatta unit he shared with glamorous gangster’s widow Fatima Hage before they seized the luxury car.

Detectives had been investigating the unexplained wealth of individuals with alleged links to organised crime networks at the time. It is not suggested Hage was being investigated, or that she was accused of any wrongdoing.

Bargshoon was charged with dishonestly possessing a vehicle with a unique modifier which had been interfered with, and having property reasonably suspected of being stolen or otherwise unlawfully obtained.

How the Lamborghini came to be in 39-year-old Bargshoon’s possession and the vehicle’s complicated history can now be revealed after he pleaded guilty to the second offence.

On June 3, 2018, a black Lamborghini Huracan LP 610-4 coupe (Vehicle 1) was involved in a crash and recorded on the written-off register maintained by Transport for NSW.

That Lamborghini, in ‘Nero Nemesis’ matte black with a hint of grey, was sold in late 2018 on a damaged vehicle auction site.

In June 2021, according to a statement of facts tendered in court, the car was repaired and repainted in a shade of grey.

On July 29 the following year a Lamborghini Huracan LP 610-2 EVO coupe painted ‘Blu Cepheus’ (Vehicle 2) was registered with NSW number plates DGH 78C.

About nine months later, on May 2, 2023, that Lamborghini was destroyed by fire at Homebush in Sydney’s inner-west when two unknown persons doused the car in an accelerant and ignited it.

Eight days later, the burnt-out Lamborghini, which had reportedly been hired by Bargshoon before it was set alight, was collected by its registered owner.

Vehicle 1, which had been repaired after being written-off in a crash, was offered for sale on Facebook Marketplace in September 2023 with an asking price of $160,000.

The seller described Vehicle 1 as a ‘statutory write-off in Australia’ and added a further warning: ‘THERE WILL BE NO TEST DRIVES AS IT CANNOT LEGALLY BE DRIVEN ON AUSTRALIAN ROADS.’

Meanwhile, a 37-year-old man went to the Service NSW office at Gregory Hills in Sydney’s south-west and transferred the ownership of Vehicle 2, which had been firebombed, to his name.

Vehicle 2 had a declared value of $10,000 and its number plates were changed from DGH 78C to FBZ 18Z.

The 37-year-old had previously inspected Vehicle 1 and on September 29, 2023 went to the seller’s home at Vaucluse in Sydney’s eastern suburbs and paid $130,000 for that Huracan.

He made up the balance of the $160,000 asking price by handing over a silver and gold Rolex watch to the seller.

Sometime in the next six months the vehicle identification number (VIN) of the firebombed Vehicle 2 was transferred to the repaired Vehicle 1, creating Vehicle 3.

On March 28 last year police saw Vehicle 3 – now with a Blu Cepheus paint job – locked and secured in the basement car space of Bargshoon’s newly built apartment in Phillip Street, Parramatta.

Police executed a search warrant on Bargshoon’s two-bedroom unit at 6.50am on July 11 and found a model of a Lamborghini Huracan EVO coupe in the loungeroom.

They also located two sets of keys for Vehicle 3 in a rack next to the front door. In Bargshoon’s bedroom police uncovered registration for Vehicle 2 in the name of the 37-year-old man and a document relating to the sale of Vehicle 1.

During the search, Bargshoon was asked about the paperwork for Vehicle 2 and said, ‘I don’t know.’

Vehicle 3 was towed to a storage facility and examined. Police also took away a Harley-Davidson V-Rod motorcycle and two Rolex watches.

The VIN displayed on the windscreen was Vehicle 2’s but underneath that was a sticker identifying it as Vehicle 1. The VIN in the driver’s side footwell was also from Vehicle 1.

Bargshoon faced Parramatta Local Court on March 31 when he pleaded guilty to having on his property the Huracan with Vehicle 2’s VIN which was reasonably suspected of being stolen or otherwise unlawfully obtained.

He was fined $350 and the charge of dishonestly possessing a vehicle with a unique modifier which had been interfered with was withdrawn.

Bargshoon made headlines in September 2023 when Daily Mail Australia reported a disagreement between his ex-girlfriend Rose and wife Fatima Hage over a Rolex watch.

The dispute was sparked by a portrait of newly married Bargshoon and Ms Hage in which she was perched on a golden throne on his lap, with a blue Hermes Birkin bag placed beside her.

On Ms Hage’s left wrist in the photo was a watch which Rose claimed was the same $12,500 two-toned diamond timepiece he had originally given her, but which had mysteriously vanished.

Ms Hage firmly denied that allegation on her husband’s behalf to Daily Mail Australia and claimed that she wore a different watch for the photograph.

Before their three-month relationship ended, a suspicious Rose confronted Bargshoon, who told her he had not taken the Rolex.

Fatima Hage had a relationship with Mahmoud Rizk (both above) who was later convicted of shooting a 14-year-old girl outside a Connells Point home in July, 2022

Rose then accused Bargshoon of stealing the watch and giving it to Ms Hage, who works as a hairdresser.

Daily Mail Australia does not suggest Bargshoon or Hage stole the watch, simply that it because the subject of a months-long feud between the two women.

Prior to marrying Bargshoon, Ms Hage had a tragic romantic history with two different gangsters.

Eight years ago, she survived a gangland hit which claimed the life of her lover, Kemel ‘Blackie’ Barakat.

Barakat had longstanding links to the Comanchero and Hells Angels bikie gangs, and was a suspect in the execution of 29-year-old career criminal Hamad Assaad in 2016.

Ms Hage and Barakat were in bed at Mortlake, in the city’s south, at 2.30am on March 10, 2017 when masked gunmen burst into his unit and executed him in a hail of bullets.

She then had a relationship with Mahmoud Rizk, who was later convicted of a shooting a 14-year-old girl outside a Connells Point home in Sydney’s south in July 2022.

Rizk, who was jailed for 12 years over the shooting, has since pleaded guilty to stalking or intimidating Ms Hage from prison, for which he was sentenced to months behind bars.

He is also the subject of a two-year apprehended order made in February 2024 to protect Ms Hage.
