    GhanaWeb brings you a report of how the players invited for Ghana’s World Cup qualifiers against Chad and Mali performed for their respective clubs after the September 2025 international break.

    Goalkeepers

    In the Swiss Super League, Lawrence Ati Zigi kept a clean sheet as St.Gallen recorded a 1-0 win over Lugano.

    Benjamin Asare returned to Hearts of Oak and kept a clean sheet in their opening game in the 2025/2026 Ghana Premier League against Hohoe United at the Accra Sports Stadium.

    Defenders

    Both Gideon Mensah and Mohammed Salisu were involved in the French League 1 tie between Auxerre and AS Monaco on Saturday, September 13, 2025, at the Stade de l’Abbé-Deschamps.

    Both Ghanaians played the entire duration of the game but Mohammed Salisu scored an own goal in the 73rd minute. Monaco won the game 2-1.

    Tariq Lamptey made his debut in the Serie A for Fiorentina against SSC Napoli. They lost the game 3-1.

    Alexander Djiku also made his debut in the Russian Premier League for Spartak Moscow. They drew 2-2 against Dynamo Moscow.

    Derrick Arthur got only 6 minutes for Union Berlin against Hoffenheim.

    Jonas Adjetey saw 25 minutes of action for Basel in their 3-1 win over Thun.

    Caleb Yirenkyi was also rated 7.2 for his performance for Nordsjaelland against Midtjylland in the Danish Super Lig.

    Jerome Opoku played 90 minutes for Basaksehir in their 2-1 loss to Besiktas.

    Midfielders

    Thomas Partey made his first start for Villareal in their 2-0 defeat to Atletico Madrid at the Metropolitano Stadium.

    Elisha Owusu and Ibrahim Osman also featured in Auxerre’s 2-0 defeat to AS Monaco.

    Kamaldeen Sulemana saw 75 minutes of action for Atlanta in their 4-1 win over Lecce.

    Kudus Mohammed returned to the London Olympic Stadium with Tottenham Hotspurs who whipped West Ham United 3-0 in the Premier League.

    Abdul Salis Samed was an unused substitute for OGC Nice against FC Nantes. Nice won the game 1-0.

    Forwards

    Antoine Semenyo scored and assisted in Bournemouth’s 2-1 win over Brighton and Hove Albion at the Vitality Stadium on Saturday, September 13, 2025, in the Premier League.

    Jordan Ayew scored his first goal of the season for Leicester City in their 2-2 draw against Oxford United in the English Championship.

    In the La Liga, Inaki Williams saw 80 minutes of action for Athletic Bilbao in their 1-0 defeat to Alaves.

    Jerry Afriyie saw 87 minutes of action for RAAL La Louviere in their 1-0 win over Club Brugge KV.

    Joseph Paintsil played the entire duration in Los Angeles Galaxy’s 2-2 draw against Seattle Sounders.

    Christopher Bonsu-Baah scored for Al Qadisiya in their 2-2 draw against Al Hilal in the Saudi Professional League.
