Amanda and Acquah got married after she left Kenpong
Fresh revelations have resurfaced about the alleged dramatic relationship history involving former Black Stars midfielder Afriyie Acquah, his ex-wife Amanda, and a popular businessman Kenpong.
The new details emerging from Acquah’s interview with Aluta FM, highlight a long, complicated triangle that saw Amanda move between both men at different stages of her life.
According to reports, before marrying Acquah, Amanda was first married to Kenpong, a relationship that began when she met the wealthy businessman as a 17-year-old.
Their marriage later hit the rocks, leading to a breakup. Not long after, she went on to marry Afriyie Acquah, who at the time was rising rapidly in Serie A and becoming a regular for the Black Stars.

But the marriage between Acquah and Amanda became the centre of national controversy in 2015 when a leaked tape surfaced.
In the audio, Amanda claimed she had dated Acquah’s teammate Jordan Ayew for four years before marrying the midfielder, mocked her husband, and described his appearance with offensive language, statements that triggered massive public outrage.
Just a year later, in 2016, another twist followed. Amanda publicly humiliated her former husband, Kenpong, claiming his manhood was small and that he was unable to impregnate her.
Her comments subjected the businessman to widespread ridicule.
Despite all these, the cycle eventually spun full circle.
After divorcing Acquah, a marriage that officially collapsed in 2016, Amanda managed to reconcile with Kenpong.
The pair patched up their differences and went on to remarry, returning to a relationship that had begun when she was a teenager. The couple welcomed a baby back in 2021.
