Former Member of Parliament for Dome-Kwabenya, Sarah Adwoa Safo, has been captured at the 40-day memorial service for her late father, Apostle Dr. Ing. Kwadwo Safo Kantanka.

The ceremony is being held today, October 20, 2025, at the University of Ghana Sports Complex, drawing thousands of mourners from across the country.

In a video captured by GhanaWeb, Adwoa Safo was seen dressed in all-black attire, with a red cloth tied around her waist, a traditional symbol of mourning.

She was accompanied by one of her siblings and her personal assistant, Wendy, as she made her way to her seat.

At one point, the assistant was seen adjusting the red cloth before she settled among family members and invited guests.

The observance marks 40 days since the passing of Apostle Safo, a visionary inventor, industrialist, farmer, herbalist, and the founder of the Kristo Asafo Mission of Ghana.

The event is expected to host several high-profile dignitaries, including former Presidents, former Vice Presidents, Members of Parliament, traditional leaders, and prominent figures from the religious and business communities.

Apostle Kwadwo Safo, often referred to as the “Star of Africa,” was widely celebrated for his pioneering work in technology, agriculture, and education.

Through the Kantanka Group of Companies, he led the development of locally manufactured vehicles and machinery, introduced innovative farming techniques, and mentored countless young inventors across Ghana.

Born on August 26, 1948, Apostle Safo passed away peacefully on September 11, 2025, at the age of 77.
