The 2025 Olympic Day celebration was marked at the Accra Sports Stadium on June 21 in grand style.

Various personalities from the sporting sector were present to grace the occasion.

These prominent personalities included the Director-General of the National Sports Authority (NSA), Yaw Ampofo Ankrah; the President of the Ghana Olympic Committee, Bawa Fuseini; and other presidents and executives of various associations.

The day was marked with a health walk and aerobics session, which included athletes and children who joined to make it successful.

The NSA boss, Ampofo Ankrah, indicated that they would put measures in place to groom more talents for the nation to win laurels in athletics meets.

He also urged the athletes to be well-mannered in their pursuit of glory in sports.

“We will be working towards training more athletes for the future. Some of the children here will be future Olympic champions. We must be mindful of what we say and how we conduct ourselves and be disciplined to achieve our targets,” he said.
