Kofi Adams is the Minister of Sports and Recreation-designate
Minister-designate of Sports and Recreation, Kofi Adams, has stated that it is paramount to focus on grassroots sports and integrity to elevate standards in the sector.
He emphasized that developing grassroots sports effectively is crucial to ensuring equity across all sectors, not just football.
“To survive at the sports ministry, one needs honesty and integrity in their dealings Let’s return to grassroots sports and implement them effectively,” he said during an interview with GHOne.
Adams made the remark before his nomination as Minister-designate of Sports and Recreation by President John Dramani Mahama.
In a statement released on January 21, 2024, Adams was announced to spearhead affairs in the sports sector and recreational activities.
His nomination is pending parliamentary approval, subject to a vetting process by the Parliamentary Appointment Committee.
