Nollywood actress Tonto Dikeh has revealed seven struggles she said the Holy Spirit healed her from, including anger, depression, sexual immorality, and even an attempted suicide.

In an Instagram post, the actress and philanthropist looked back on her transformation and spiritual journey, saying it has been a process of surrendering to God.

The actress mentioned that before finding peace, she struggled with uncontrollable anger that cost her valuable relationships.

According to her, she used to mistake her outbursts for strength when, in reality, they were rooted in pain and insecurity.

The actress went on to reveal that she once battled depression to the point of attempting suicide. She said her emotional struggles consumed her for years until she encountered God in a way that changed everything.

The Nollywood actress also spoke about her commitment to living a godly life, disclosing that she has abandoned sexual immorality and now practices celibacy as a way of maintaining her spiritual discipline.

The mother of one explained that her transformation has not been easy but has brought her peace that she once thought was impossible.

She shared her message as part of a post titled “7 Things the Holy Spirit Healed Me From,” where she recounted the moments that defined her healing journey and the lessons she learned along the way.

    Read the post below

“Jesus healed me from a rage that once ruled my life. I used to have a fuse so short it could ignite a storm. I destroyed relationships, opportunities, and peace without a second thought. My anger was not power; it was pain disguised as control. But one day, I broke down and cried out like a child. I was tired of being ruled by my emotions. And El-Roi, the God who sees me, saw me. He didn’t condemn me. He covered me with mercy and completely healed me.

“I lived in pain, breathed it, and wore it like a second skin. Depression was my closest companion, and I attempted suicide. But God said, ‘Child, get up.’ And I did. Weak, trembling, but alive.

“I gave my life to Christ after secondary school, but I took His love for granted. Life showed me its harshest lessons, and the enemy showed me pain without mercy. That was when I ran back to my first Love. And that return has been the most beautiful and fulfilling journey of my life. I am not ashamed to say it loudly: My life belongs to God,” she wrote.
