Jamaican singer-songwriter Hezron Clarke, professionally known as Hezron or Kwame Bonsu, has released his latest single, Property Manager, via Tad’s Record.

The song features a sleek afrobeats rhythm with a bubbling reggae undercurrent, complemented by mesmerizing keyboard, guitar, and percussive flourishes.

With witty lyrics, Hezron playfully proposes to manage a woman’s “property,” using terms like “landowner,” “survey your acre,” and “peg your boundary line.”

Hezron’s connection to Africa runs deep. After tracing his heritage to Ghana, he visited the country in 2023, meeting prominent figures including the King of the Ashanti Kingdom, Nana Osei Tutu II.

His African experience inspired the afrobeats rhythm in Property Manager; a sound he felt an instant connection to.

With Property Manager, Hezron showcases his versatility as a songwriter, marrying engaging melodies with clever lyrics that address universally resonant themes.

This single follows his previous releases, including Kuju Nyumbani, Blame It on the Wine, and We’ve Made It.

Hezron is set to return to Africa later this year for shows in Ghana and at Nigeria’s Felabration. Before that, he’ll embark on his Man on a Mission Canada tour, performing at various clubs and festivals, including the Victoria Ska and Reggae Festival and Vancouver Reggae Splash.
