Former Texas Mayor Mike Arnold has called out Reno Omokri, branding the political commentator as a ‘pathological, habitual, calculating, self-serving liar.’
In a lengthy statement posted online, Arnold, who says he has interacted with Omokri in both the U.S. and Nigeria, referred to Reno as someone he once considered a close associate.
He accuses the Nigerian activist of manipulating people, faking relationships with powerful figures, and leveraging Nigeria’s worsening crisis for his personal gain.
According to Arnold, Reno Omokri falsely claimed ownership of two luxury cars in a viral video that belonged to Arnold’s friend. To boost his own reputation, he also took credit for years-long humanitarian trips he had no role in.
He lied on live TV, claiming Arnold was the current Republican mayor of Blanco, a false statement, as Arnold is neither in office nor active in politics, and repeatedly misrepresented others around him to bolster his political image.
However, Arnold’s most damning accusation centers on Omokri’s alleged attempts to whitewash the suffering of Christians in Nigeria.
“Lying to inflate yourself is one thing. Lying to cover up the Christian genocide raging in Nigeria is a bridge too far; he’s gaslighting a nation while Christians and innocent Nigerians suffer.” He stated
He concluded with an explosive claim that Reno Omokri’s ‘grand plan’ is to run for Vice President under NSA Ribaduc, a pair he mocks as ‘delusion.’
The post has since triggered many users on social media, with the majority weighing in and some supporting Arnold’s claims.
