Liverpool manager Arne Slot has lauded the brilliance of Ghanaian and West Ham midfielder Mohammed Kudus. Since bursting onto the scene during his Ajax days, Kudus has demonstrated how good a player he can be, and Slot believes his versatility is one of the qualities that make him stand out.

Since switching from Ajax to West Ham, Kudus has been deployed in various positions, from playing on the left and right wings to operating in the middle. Although he has enjoyed much success on the left side this season—playing nine games and scoring three goals—Slot asserts that this adaptability makes him a significant threat in the future.

Reflecting on Kudus’ goal against Liverpool during the 2022/23 Champions League, Slot acknowledged the Ghanaian’s brilliance during a press conference.

“I think he’s a good player, that’s for sure. Everybody sees it. He can play multiple positions. I think he played as a nine for Ajax against Liverpool as well. He’s a big threat for them,” he said.

Before leaving Ajax, Kudus scored 27 goals in 87 appearances and provided 11 assists. He has continued his fine form in England with West Ham, scoring 17 goals in 60 appearances, including three in 13 appearances in the 2024/25 Premier League season.
