Exactly a year ago – January 7, 2026, President John Dramani Mahama was sworn into office as President of Ghana.

Over the past twelve months, his administration has overseen a range of policies, projects, and national events that have drawn both praises and criticisms.

To commemorate the milestone, a Thanksgiving Service was held at the forecourt of Jubilee House under the theme “Rebuilding. Resetting. Renewing.”

The ceremony brought together government officials, clergy, traditional leaders, and citizens to reflect on the president’s first year in office and to pray for continued peace and progress.

Beyond the official celebrations, the anniversary sparked lively conversations on social media.

Platforms such as Facebook and X were flooded with comments from Ghanaians assessing Mahama’s performance so far.
