    Minister of Roads and Highways, Kwame Governs Agbodza, has given the assurance that the‘Big Push’ road project in Afienya, Greater Accra Region, will be completed within 24 months.

    Speaking at the sod-cutting ceremony on Tuesday, September 16, 2025, he described the initiative as one of the largest commitments to Ghana’s road sector in history, reaffirming the government’s determination to deliver.

    “We shall implement Big Push, and the results will be there for everybody to see. When we say we can do this project within 24 months, we mean business. The contractor on this stretch, I believe, can do this project in less than 24 months.

    The Big Push infrastructure project was a major campaign promise on the National Democratic Congress in the 2024 elections.

    Big Push Project not for ‘wheelbarrow contractors’ – Mahama

    It is aimed at closing the country’s annual infrastructure gap of $1.5 billion, especially in the road sector.
