Extraordinary picture shows how close helicopter pilot was to death as his crushed aircraft hangs precariously onto a destroyed roof after crashing into a Melbourne house
A small helicopter crashed into the roof of a suburban house in Melbourne‘s south-east.
The helicopter struck the residence in Tylden Court, Mentone, about 1pm on Wednesday afternoon.
A caller to Radio 3AW reported that the pilot is believed to be okay but suffered lower body injuries.
A Victoria Police spokeswoman said the male pilot remains trapped in the aircraft.
No one was inside the home at the time of the incident.
