Helen Flanagan is facing a driving ban after being caught speeding twice in just over a fortnight, it has been reported.

The former Corrie star, 34, was convicted in September of failing to respond to two notices of prosecution.

She was asked who was behind the wheel when her Audi Q7 was caught going over the limit on July 10 and July 26 in Liverpool, according to The Sun.

But Flanagan, who played Rosie Webster in the ITV soap, has blamed her boyfriend, saying she was ‘too busy’ working as a single-mother to remember if she had replied.

She said she thought her ex-footballer boyfriend Robbie Talbot, 45, had contacted the police as he was driving.

When asked by Wirral JPs if she had seen the court papers, Flanagan replied: ‘I think I did.’

However, she then added that she was ‘confused’ and that she ‘couldn’t remember’ as she was a ‘busy working single mum’.

Talbot claims he responded on the actress’s behalf but police have insisted they never received the forms.

Flanagan is due back in court in the new year and has been warned she could be banned from driving.

It comes as the 34-year-old this week hinted that she could return to the Cobbles as she admitted she ‘misses the excitement’ of working on the soap.

Flanagan quit the show the Cobbles as she admitted she ‘misses the excitement’ of working on the soap.

And now, speaking of her time on screen, she told The Sun: ‘It really was such an incredible experience and it really shaped me as well.’

‘I think I’ll always kind of miss it, and I think it’s almost having that excitement in your life, I’ve had that from such a young age I don’t actually know any different.

‘So all I’ve known since from being like a young age is either kind of being an actress or being in the public.’

The actress was on the soap for more then two decades after being cast in her role as Rosie Webster at just ten years old.

Helen first appeared on screens as Rosie in 2000, staying for twelve years before leaving and then making a comeback in 2017.

She then went on maternity leave in 2018 but never reprised her role, although she has spoken out on multiple occasions about wanting to.

In 2023, speaking to MailOnline, Helen said: ‘Yeah, totally. I mean, I’d love to go back to Coronation Street at one point.

‘Like, I really, really, really would. But it’s just timing, you know, everything’s about my kids.’

She added: ‘I really want Rosie to come back a mum. I want to go back and like cause some chaos.’

‘I wanted to like kind of palm Sally off with with her grandchild the whole time and yeah, I want her to come back.’

The admission comes just after Helen, who is now dating new boyfriend Robbie Talbot, 45, enjoyed a rare night out with the father of her children, Scott.

Helen and Scott, 35, split in 2022 after thirteen years together, four of which they were engaged. As well as Matilda, nine, they share Delilah, six, and Charlie, three.

The former couple looked in very high spirits as they spent quality time with their eldest.

Sharing sweet snaps on Instagram, she wrote: ‘Gorgeous night last night @hygeparkwinterwonderland Thank you so much @regattaoutdoors for having us ❤️

‘I will live in this coat for the school run✨ So cold now and this coat is so warm. Matilda loved last night so much with her mummy and daddy ❤️✨ Our princess forever✨’
