Accra Hearts of Oak head coach, Didi Dramani

Supporters of Accra Hearts of Oak have questioned the readiness of their team under new coach Didi Dramani after failing to beat a 10-man Hohoe United in the Ghana Premier League.

The Phobians were held to a 0-0 draw at the Accra Sports Stadium on Friday, September 12, 2025, in the opening game of the 2025/2026 Ghana Premier League season.

“You can see that technically we were bad, we couldn’t possess, there was no good football. Why will you play a defensive game against 10 men Hohoe UTD, we were totally bad,” a supporter stated in an interview.

Wayo, a famous Hearts of Oak supporter in the media space also shared his frustration noting “Changing of coach is too much, we need to stick to one coach and one idea. We always start slow to the season, The football we played against Hohoe United was tinkon tinkon.”

“It is very painful. I came all the way from Kumasi to watch this game, I don’t know why Hearts can’t win their first league game. We slowed the game instead to be on the front foot, it’s painful,” another fan from Kumasi noted.

The result prolongs Hearts of Oak’s struggles in season openers, leaving them winless in their last four attempts and sparking widespread discontent among their passionate supporters.

As Hearts prepare for a tricky away clash with Dreams FC on matchday 2, Dramani faces an early test of his credentials.
