Asante Kotoko coach Dr. Prosper Narteh Ogum, has praised the performance of Hearts of Oak despite his team’s 1-0 victory in the Super Clash on Sunday December 15, 2024.

Ogum acknowledged that Hearts of Oak played well and gave his team a tough challenge, particularly in the first half.

“I think it was a very tight and compact game, especially if you look at how both teams played in the first half,” Ogum said.

The Kotoko coach praised Hearts of Oak’s direct style of play, which made it difficult for his team to create scoring opportunities. “Hearts of Oak played very well, and they gave us a good game,” Ogum admitted.

Despite the praise for Hearts of Oak, Ogum was delighted with his team’s victory, which was secured by Albert Amoah’s goal in the 90th minute. The win has taken Kotoko up to sixth position on the league log with 21 points, while Hearts of Oak have dropped to seventh position.
