Accra Hearts of Oak goalkeeper, Benjamin Asare remains confident that his side can still challenge for the 2025/26 Ghana Premier League title.

The Phobians boosted their championship bid with a hard-fought 1-0 triumph over rivals Asante Kotoko in Sunday’s Super Clash at the Baba Yara Stadium.

Baba Adamu’s first-half header sealed the victory for the Phobians, closing the gap on league leaders Medeama SC.

Reflecting on their title ambitions, Asare said: “Yes, anyone can still win it. If you look at the top four or five teams, it’s all about determination on the field. If we continue to win our matches, we have a great chance.”

“Winning the league would be a huge opportunity for us, and I believe most of the players deserve it. This win today will help us be more aggressive and focused in our upcoming matches,” Asare added.

The win lifts Hearts of Oak to the third position with 39 points.

They will look to maintain their momentum when they host Berekum Chelsea at the University of Ghana Stadium in Matchday 23.
