Hearts of Oak will be eager to halt their troubling dip in form when they host Nations FC at the University of Ghana Sports Stadium on Saturday, December 13, 2025, in a crucial Premier League encounter.

The Phobians are enduring a difficult spell, with a 2–0 defeat to Karela United at the Aliu Mahama Sports Stadium last weekend extending their winless streak to four matches (D2, L2).

This poor run has seen them drop to 7th place on the league table with 21 points after 13 matches.

Despite their struggles, Hearts of Oak boast the league’s best defensive record, having conceded just six goals.

However, their home form remains a major concern—they are ranked the second-weakest home side, with only two wins, three draws, and one defeat at the University of Ghana Sports Stadium.

In those six home fixtures, they have scored four goals and conceded three. Mas-Ud Didi Dramani’s men will be determined to reverse their home misfortunes and reignite their campaign.

Nations FC travel to the capital placed 11th with 16 points, boosted by a confidence-raising 2–1 win over Heart of Lions last weekend in Abrankese. Their season has been mixed so far, with four wins, four draws and five defeats, alongside 12 goals scored and 13 conceded.

However, their away form remains a major stumbling block. Frimpong Manso’s side are the second-weakest away performers in the division and one of nine clubs yet to record an away victory.

Nations FC have managed just one draw and five losses in six away games, scoring only twice and conceding eight. They will look to break that poor run on Saturday, though history and form suggest a difficult challenge awaits.

    Head-to-Head

Since 2023, Hearts of Oak and Nations FC have met twice in Accra in league action, with each side securing one win apiece—setting the stage for another tightly contested matchup.
