Ghanaian comedian and media personality Foster Romanus has revealed that heartbreaks from his past relationships strengthened his faith and drew him closer to God.
Speaking on a cooking show on UTV, he recounted a painful heartbreak that occurred at a time when he was deeply in love and believed the relationship was strong.
Narrating the encounter, he said, “I’ve been heartbroken before. I was so in love with her, I one day decided to go see her. When I saw her, she told me we needed to talk. Already, I had bragged about the girl that she wouldn’t able to break up with me.
“She told me she needed space and I jokingly asked her if she’s an astronaut. She said she’s tired and she could see that the relationship wouldn’t head anywhere.”
In a moment of frustration, Romanus said he left her house on foot, forgetting that he had actually driven there.
“Out of frustration, I forgot I drove to her house. I was walking home when she called me asking why I left my car. That’s when I remembered that I actually drove to her house so I had to return and pick my car,” he noted.

Though deeply hurt by the situation, Romanus added that the pain of the breakup, ultimately drew him closer to God and strengthened his faith.
“I was so hurt but the broken heart drew me closer to God,” he added.
Nonetheless, Foster Romanus shared how he maintains good relationships with his exes and often offers them guidance.
“I’m very cool with my exes. I’m someone who likes to encourage a lot. Most of the people I was with call me for advice when they’re down.
“They seek for my opinion about things they’re not sure of. I sometimes pray with them about it. I will draw you close to God so you won’t do any bad,” he said.
He admitted that while some ex-partners have suggested rekindling their relationships, he considers the circumstances of their breakups before making decisions.
“Some of them suggest we get back together but I consider the circumstances in which we broke up and decided whether it’s fine for us to be together again,” he stated.
