The father of the late Nigerian singer Mohbad expresses displeasure over the singer’s decision to buy two plots of land in his son Liam’s name before his demise.

In a TikTok live interview, Mohbad’s father stated that the singer informed him about buying two plots of land in Elepe in Liam’s name after he returned from his tour without disclosing the reason for his actions.

“I have never bought anything in Mohbad’s name in my life but they bought those two plots of land in Liam’s name”, Mohbad’s father said.

As a pastor, Mohbad gifted him a piece of land in Gberigbe to construct a church for him and that is the only land he has access to out of his son’s properties.

He also added that the land documents were handed over to the singer’s mother-in-law but he wasn’t informed.

The video has sparked negative criticisms with Internet users criticizing the late singer’s dad and insisting on a funeral ceremony.

    Below are some reactions,

@mz_sheza God forbid .. I hope you are can see why the father has refused to bury mohbad .. selfishness and greed .. so it’s no longer DNA Abi .. smh

@Zubechi Nwasze How can a grandfather be this jealous of his grandson?

@Emeka Oluigbo This old man is only interested in collecting mohbads properties, that’s why he rushed and buried him without proper burial arrangements. He will sure regret his actions.

@ms_leemart He can’t hide the fact that he’s jealous of Liam and it’s disturbing. That boy should never be allowed in a room alone with this man
