Nigerian singer Small Doctor has opened up about a heartbreaking childhood experience that has stayed with him for years, the mysterious death of his school friend, Shoetan Olamiposi.

Taking to X (Twitter), the singer reflected on the memory after seeing a tweet about childhood friends who passed away too soon.

According to him, Olamiposi had died the night before, but somehow appeared at school the next morning in full uniform, played, and chatted as usual.

Only for his dad to arrive school during break time to inform the school about his demise. He added that everyone searched the school grounds after hearing the shocking news, but Olamiposi was nowhere to be found.

“Then I Remembered Shoetan Olamiposi R.I.P. Dude Came To School In Full Uniform , Unknown To Me He Had Died The Night Before. We Chatted, Played And All. Only For His Dad To Arrive School During Break Time To Inform Us All About His Demise. We Searched All School For Him, Dude Was Nowhere To Be Found Again. . No Sickness, Nothing. I Miss Him So Much That I Had To Give A S/O To Him After My Breakout In One Of My Tracks Titled (Story). I Hope And Pray His Family Has Been Holding On Tight Ever Since, Cos Dude Was So Promising.“ He wrote.

The singer went on to mention that he never returned to the house where Olamiposi and his family lived after the tragedy because of fear and grief.
