Ampem Darkoa Ladies staged a dramatic comeback to defeat Hasaacas Ladies 2-1 and clinch the 2025/26 Malta Guinness Women’s Premier League title.

Hasaacas Ladies made a bright start and took the lead in the 38th minute through Priscilla Okyere, who capitalised on a defensive lapse to put her side ahead at halftime.

Ampem Darkoa Ladies responded strongly after the break, showing determination and attacking intent. Their persistence paid off in the 57th minute when Gloria Adomako Ameaa found the equalizer, bringing the champions-elect back into the contest.

With momentum firmly on their side, Ampem Darkoa continued to press for a winner, and their efforts were rewarded late in the game. Abiba Issah struck in the 83rd minute to complete the turnaround and seal a memorable victory.

The result confirmed Ampem Darkoa Ladies as champions of the 2025/26 season, marking a significant achievement for the club after a competitive campaign.

By virtue of their triumph, Ampem Darkoa Ladies have secured qualification to represent Ghana in the 2026 CAF Women’s Champions League, where they will compete against the continent’s top clubs.
