The FAA issued a ground stop for all JetBlue flights early on Tuesday morning.
The carrier itself requested the ground stop due to an unknown issue and were working to solve the problem in order to prevent major backups at airports across the country.
It remains unclear how long the ground stop will last. Passengers are advised to check with the airline for updates on the status of their flight.
JetBlue did not immediately respond to request for comment.
