The mother of a Nigerian groom has set the bar high for future mothers-in-law after sharing a live chicken during her son’s wedding ceremony.

A video posted by @adedoyinfilms_ displayed some party guests’ excitement and cheers after receiving the surprising souevnir.

The party radiating elegance recorded the guests dressed in blue lace attire to commemorate the couple.

The viral clip showed the groom’s mother distributing live chicken to her guests, especially those dressed in the event’s chosen clothing.

Guests were seen flaunting their souvenirs with event attendants assisting them to tighten the chicken’s limbs.

Viewers were taken aback and questioned how a Nigerian wedding went from providing electronics, plastic, and food to giving away live chicken as mementos.

Some highlighted the possibility of losing the souvenir at such an occasion and voiced their fear of handling a live chicken.

Internet users joined the family to celebrate the wedding ceremony and prayed for a blissful marriage.
