THERE was a commotion at Jamila Home, a high-end antique and furniture business at Achimota in Accra, yesterday when staff of the company clashed with officials of the Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA) during a tax compliance exercise.
The incident occurred when the Economic Adviser to Jamila Home, Mr Hillaruis MCcash, attempted to prevent GRA officials from carrying out their duties, which included locking up the premises over an alleged failure to honour tax obligations. Read More
