Ranking Member on Parliament’s Defence and Interior Committee, Rev John Ntim Fordjour
The Ranking Member on Parliament’s Defence and Interior Committee, Rev. John Ntim Fordjour, has accused the government of dismissing intelligence he says he provided about the recent cocaine seizure linked to Ghana.
Speaking on JoyNews’ Newsfile on Saturday, he argued that disregarding the information could embolden drug traffickers operating in the country.
The government has not disclosed or acknowledged details of the said intelligence he says he provided.
His comments come after French customs seized nearly 3.9 tonnes of cocaine at the port of Dunkirk from a container shipped from Ghana. The seizure has prompted questions about how the consignment passed through Ghana’s export controls.
