Ghanaian gospel musician Phoebe Asirah Adjei, known in the music industry as Asirah, has earned a prestigious nomination for “Discovery of the Year” at the 4th Edition of the Praise Achievement Awards 2025, a highly regarded event that celebrates excellence and impact within the gospel music space in Ghana.

Born in Dormaa in the Bono Region and currently residing in the Ashanti Region, Asirah’s journey into music is one rooted in purpose, perseverance, and passion. Her early years were shaped by her involvement in church, school music groups, and cultural troupes.

A product of Berekum All for Christ School and Sunyani Senior High School, Asirah consistently stood out not just academically, but as a creative and musical talent.

She later pursued a degree in Political Studies and English Language at Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), where she further honed her musical craft while maintaining academic excellence.

Currently, Asirah is a graduate at the KNUST Faculty of Law, balancing legal studies, ministry, and motherhood with grace and determination.

Her foray into professional music began after her participation in MTN Hitmaker Season 6, a season that spotlighted other prominent artists such as Mr Drew and Krymi.

The experience propelled her to take her music career seriously, with a unique sound that blends soulful gospel, R&B, Afrobeat, and jazz influences ; all tied together by a deep desire to lead souls to Christ, especially the youth.

Asirah’s music is not only spiritually uplifting but also socially intentional. Her mission goes beyond entertainment; she seeks to use her platform to reach out to young people battling with addiction, identity crises, and spiritual stagnation.

Her lyrics often speak to healing, hope, and the power of transformation especially for young women, whom she seeks to inspire toward personal growth and godly living.

In the “Discovery of the Year” category, Asirah stands alongside other rising gospel stars including Psalmist Sam, Aikkuo, Naana Asiedu, Joseph Abeiku Gordon, Sonia Biekro, Miss Walters, Wuddah, Seth Diamond, Joella, Kwesi Kaej, Afia Sika, Matthew Ansah, and Sarah Appiah.

“This nomination is a blessing and a reminder that faithfulness in the little things will always be seen and rewarded,” says Asirah. “I’m grateful to God, my family, and everyone who has believed in my journey.”

Asirah’s rise is a testament to the power of faith, hard work, and authenticity. With a growing fanbase and an unshakeable message of hope, she is poised to become one of the most influential gospel voices of her generation.
