Arkansas Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders has slammed Democrats as ‘out-of-touch’ and said liberals are ‘terrified’ about Elon Musk‘s DOGE probes.
Huckabee Sanders, who was President Trump’s White House Press Secretary in his previous administration, told Fox News‘ Jesse Waters, ‘I think Democrats are terrified at what (Musk) is going to find.’
When asked why some Democrats have seemingly shifted even further left in response to Trump’s election, she said the party ‘may be using (DOGE) as a distraction, that’s the only thing I can really think of.’
‘They’re acting like they got caught with their hand in the cookie jar,’ Watters added.
Watters showed a viral video this this week from the Worcester City Council in Massachusetts as it voted to become the first sanctuary city for transgender people, which was mocked by conservatives.
‘All that I see when I’m watching these desperate political stunts is a reminder of how thankful I am that Donald Trump is in the White House,’ Huckabee Sanders said in response.
‘Honestly, it is sad and laughable what is taking place and just shows how out-of-touch the woke left really is.’
Huckabee Sanders said she is at a ‘loss for words’ to explain why Democrats have struggled to move back to moderate stances to regain voters they lost in November.

Huckabee Sanders backed Musk’s Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) to continue slashing funding and jobs within the government, saying she believes ‘Democrats are terrified at what (Musk) is going to find’
‘While they’re having these ridiculous displays, Donald Trump is literally freeing hostages and welcoming them into the White House,’ she said.
‘What a contrast. What a difference of what real leadership looks like, and I’m thankful that we have Donald Trump back there fighting for all of us.’
The Arkansas governor said she has been left bewildered by some opposition to Musk’s cost-cutting, which has sharply divided opinions in Washington.
While Democrats have fumed over some cuts, including firing a number of Department of Energy workers that oversee America’s nuclear arsenal, which Trump quickly reversed, Republicans say other funding was a huge waste.
‘America is $36 trillion in debt, we should be looking at all of the waste and the fraud,’ she said.
‘The president is spot on to go after all of these insane programs, get rid of them, and make sure we’re actually using taxpayer money wisely.
‘He has not stopped since the day he stepped into office, and I don’t think he’s going to over the next four years.’
Musk’s DOGE has cut several billion dollars from the federal budget in its first month in power, upending Washington as some praise the cost-cutting measures while others argue the widespread cuts have also impacted needed work.

Musk’s slash and burn approach to cutting federal spending sharply divided opinions in Washington and led to protests in recent weeks
The department said this week that it has cut at least $1.9 billion of misplaced funds from the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), adding that former President Joe Biden’s administration was to blame.
‘These funds were earmarked for the administration of financial services, but were no longer needed,’ DOGE wrote in a post to X, adding that the funds were lost in the first place due to a ‘broken process.’
‘The funds are now available for other use by the Treasury,’ the department said.
After taking the ax to the HUD budget, this week DOGE moved to scrutinize the agency responsible for the most federal spending – the Pentagon.

This week DOGE moved to scrutinize the agency responsible for the most federal spending – the Pentagon – which new Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth said he welcomes
DOGE agents arrived at the Pentagon on Friday, a source confirmed to DailyMail.com, and are conducting meetings.
The Wall Street Journal published an image of an unofficial sign featuring the faces of 15 known DOGE agents posted in the bathroom in the Pentagon.
‘Meet the DOGE Team,’ the sign read.
Trump’s Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth has stated that he welcomes additional scrutiny to the department and its spending.
‘We welcome DOGE to the Pentagon, and I hope to welcome Elon to the Pentagon very soon,’ Hegseth said to reporters in Germany.
