General Overseer of Makers House Chapel International, Dr. Michael Boadi Nyamekye General Overseer of Makers House Chapel International, Dr. Michael Boadi Nyamekye

Dr. Michael Boadi Nyamekye, the General Overseer of Makers House Chapel International, shared profound insights into the different ways God responds to prayers.

According to the well-respected clergyman, God’s responses are not always as immediate or clear as people might expect.

While many are accustomed to hearing a straightforward “yes,” Nyamekye pointed out that God’s answers often come in three forms: “Yes,” “No,” and “Wait.”

“God always responds, but sometimes His answer is not the one we want to hear, or it may not come in the way we expect it,” Nyamekye explained.

“God’s ‘yes’ is often an affirmation of what you’ve asked for, but His ‘no’ might be a sign that something better is planned for you. And then there’s the ‘wait’—the hardest one for many people.”

Reflecting on how people respond when they do not immediately receive what they have asked for in a recent discussion on Okay FM, Dr. Boadi Nyamekye noted that delays in prayer can often lead to frustration.

“When you don’t get a quick answer, you might feel like God is silent or doesn’t care. In such times, people are tempted to look for alternative ways to get what they want. But God’s silence isn’t a denial—it’s a redirection,” he emphasized.

Nyamekye went on to elaborate that the “wait” response is especially important. He stressed that God’s timing is not bound by human constraints.

“God’s timing is perfect, but it is often different from ours. The delay you may face is not a denial but a preparation for a greater blessing,” he said.

“Sometimes, what you want right now might not be what you need in the long term. God’s silence may just be a pause to ensure that you are ready for what is coming.”

He encouraged listeners to trust in God’s process, despite the temptation to rush or seek shortcuts.

“We live in a world where everything is fast-paced and instant gratification is the norm. But God’s ways are different.

When He says ‘wait,’ it’s for a purpose,” Nyamekye said.

“Patience is key. In times of waiting, keep your faith strong and trust that God is working behind the scenes.”
