The Ghanaian rapper Edem, whose real name is Ayigbe Edem, engaged his followers in a live Instagram session. Edem engaged with his fans on social media to discuss his songs and update them on his latest endeavors. During the live performance, an Accra-based fan asked the rapper for GHC 2,000 in order to supplement his rent payment.

The “Koene” hitmaker didn’t take it well with the person who sent the message, and he responded very harshly, telling him or her to move back to their hometown if they couldn’t afford the rent in Accra. Edem claims that because he need financial assistance, he is unable to provide for others. Given that the artist doesn’t seem to be in a position to provide financial assistance to anyone at this time, particularly those outside of his family, this is obviously a “Give Away” request gone awry.
