A married music teacher has confessed to having sex with a schoolboy from when he was just 12 years old, and he allegedly fathered her child at 13.
Naomi Tekea Craig, 33, appeared in Mandurah Magistrate’s Court via audio link on Tuesday and pleaded guilty to 15 charges over her sexual relationship with the boy.
Magistrate Clare Cullen read the charges aloud in court, which included multiple counts of penetration of a child under 12, and then under 13 once his birthday passed.
To each charge, she replied: ‘Guilty, your honour.’
The court heard Craig’s sexual relationship with the boy began in about October 2024 and ended in December, just days before her arrest, when she was on maternity leave while pregnant with her second child.
Craig, who was known to students and colleagues by her married name, Naomi Woods, gave birth to the child in January.
At the time of her arrest, she was on maternity leave from her role as a music teacher at Frederick Irwin Anglican School, a private co-educational Anglican school in Meadow Springs, with students from kindergarten to Year 12.
She was initially charged with two counts of sexual penetration of a child over 13 and under 16, possessing child exploitation material, and persistent sexual conduct with a child under 16.

Further charges laid on Tuesday include one count of sexually penetrating a child of or over 13 and under 16, one count of indecent dealings with a child over 13 and under 16, and one count of indecent dealings with a child under 13.
According to the school’s website, Ms Craig was often praised in newsletters for her active role in choir and music performances.
In one newsletter from October 2024, she was pictured on the school’s website working with children between five and 12 at the ‘battle of the band rock concert’.
In the photo, she held a microphone on stage with primary school students while smiling and wearing a Nirvana t-shirt knotted at the waist.
A Christian prayer could be seen on a projector on the wall above the stage.
Following her arrest, the principal of Frederick Irwin Anglican School, Tracey Gray sent a letter to parents and carers confirming the alleged victim was not a student at the school.
‘I regret to inform you that a teacher from our school has been arrested by police and charged with child-related offences,’ Ms Gray wrote.
‘The teacher has been instructed not to attend the school.

‘The information available to the school suggests that there is no need for any concern for any children at the school.’
According to an online work biography, Ms Craig began employment at the school in 2024, having previously worked as an independent private music teacher.
Ms Craig grew up in Mandurah and completed a Bachelor of Arts degree from The University of Western Australia and a Diploma of Education from Edith Cowan University.
She later relocated to Melbourne, where she married her long-time partner in a lavish ceremony at Stones of the Yarra Valley in 2019.
A video posted online shows Ms Craig being walked down the aisle to meet her groom at the altar, before the newlyweds spent the night celebrating with family and friends.
Three years later, while still based in Victoria, the couple welcomed their first child, a little boy.
Maternity shoot photos show Ms Craig posing with her baby bump in March 2022 as she stood on a Mornington Peninsula beach dressed in white lingerie, brown broad-brimmed hat, and draped with a lace gown.
