The Ashanti Regional Branch of the Ghana Journalists Association (GJA) has expressed deep sorrow following the passing of Akwasi Owusu Achiaw, a respected news anchor with OTEC 102.9 FM in Kumasi.

He passed away in the early hours of Friday, December 26, 2025, after a short illness.
