Gina Rinehart has taken out a full page ad in Donald Trump‘s favourite newspaper to congratulate the President-elect.
Australia’s richest person took out an advertisement in Thursday’s edition of the New York Post entitled ‘Celebration Time!’.
It featured a picture of Trump hugging the star-spangled banner during a speech at the Conservative Political Action Conference in February last year.
The paid advertisement, which was signed by ‘Gina Rinehart and friends’, featured several logos of the mining magnate’s companies, including 2GR premium wagyu beef, Hanrine Exploration and Mining and her dairy business Bannister Downs.
‘Like many all over the world we salute your leadership President-elect Trump,’ the advert said.
‘Thank you for standing up, no matter what is thrown at you.
‘We well know you love your country and are exceptionally dedicated to its people.
‘Many in Australia and around the world are given hope and much needed inspiration thanks to your election.

It was signed ‘Best wishes from your Aussie friends’.
Mrs Rinehart is on very good terms with the 47th President of the US.
The philanthropist was in attendance at Trump’s Mar-a-Lago election night party.
She proudly posed next to Trump’s daughter, Tiffany, with a sign which echoed his pro-mining mantra, reading ‘drill, baby, drill’, and also rubbed shoulders with his son, Eric.
Mrs Rinehart was also pictured at a table sitting between outspoken former Liberal vice president Teena McQueen UK right-wing MP Nigel Farage.
After Trump’s victory in November, Mrs Rinehart said she hoped Australia could ‘watch and learn’ from his example.
‘Even after a billion-dollar spend by the Democrats, the USA has chosen, with full throttle, repudiation of all things left. Socialism always hurts those less well off the most,’ she told WA Today.
‘[Mr Trump] stood armed with conviction, huge courage, incredible untiring effort, and a real love of the USA and the American people.
‘I do hope Australia watches and learns as they see that cutting government tape, cutting taxes, and cutting government wastage lifts people up, and lifts living standards.’
