Ghana’s journey in the 2025 World Athletics Championship in Tokyo 2025 begins with Benjamin Azamati and Abdul-Rasheed Saminu.

Benjamin Azamati and Abdul-Rasheed Saminu will begin the championship by competing in the men’s 100 metres in Heat 5 and 7 respectively on Saturday, September 13, 2025.

Azamati will run at 12:03 GMT before Saminu takes his turn at 12:17 GMT in the heats.

On Day 5, September 17, Ibrahim Fuseini will open his campaign in the men’s 200m heats at 11:15 GMT. The semi-finals will follow on Day 6 at 12:02 GMT, before the final showdown on Day 7 at 1:06 GMT.
