    Ghana’s sprinter, Edwin Gadayi finished second in the men’s 200m final at the 2025 CAA region II senior athletics championships with a time of 21.14 seconds.

    The event, which pulled top athletes from across the region, saw Edwin display his speed and resilience, finishing just behind the gold medalist in a highly competitive race.

    His accomplishment added to Ghana’s strong showing at the championships.

    Edwin Gadayi’s silver was complemented by a bronze medal from fellow Ghanaian Shaibu Marizuk, making it a double podium finish for Ghana in the men’s 200m.

    Edwin, who recently set a national record in the 100m with a blistering 9.86 seconds at the NCAA East First Rounds, continues to make a name for himself as a rising star in global sprinting.

    His performance, alongside Marizuk’s, spotlights, Ghana’s growing influence in track and field, with fans and officials optimistic about their prospects at upcoming global events like the 2025 World Athletics Championships in Tokyo.
