Ghana international Brandon Thomas-Asante was in blistering form for Coventry City in their Championship clash against Queens Park Rangers on Saturday.

The Black Stars attacker started and played the full throttle of the match as his outfit cruised to a resounding 7-1 victory over their opponents in a thrilling clash at the Coventry Building Society Arena.

Thomas-Asante played a pivotal role by scoring and registering two assists, contributing to his side’s emphatic victory over QPR.

The Ghanaian attacker was simply unplayable on the day, delivering a Man-of-the-Match performance to inspire the Sky Blues to a massive home win.

USA international Haji Wright shot Coventry into the lead after just 12 minutes before Thomas-Asante doubled the advantage for the hosts in the 23rd minute.

In the 35th minute, Jack Rudoni extended the lead for Coventry before Haji Wright found the net again to make it 4-0, following an assist from the Ghanaian forward.

Shortly before the half-time break, Thomas-Asante set up Jack Rudoni to score his second goal of the match as the hosts went into the interval with a commanding 5-0 lead.

Coventry City continued their dominance in the second half, scoring two additional goals to snatch an impressive victory on home turf.

After the restart, Denmark international Victor Torp fired a brace to cement victory for Coventry, with Richard Kone pulling one back in stoppage time.
