Black Challenge will represent Ghana at the 2026 WAFF Amputee Football World Cup after securing qualification for the global tournament set to take place in San Juan de los Lagos from November 13 to 22, 2026.
The expanded competition will feature 24 nations from across Africa, Asia, Europe and the Americas, bringing together some of the world’s best amputee football teams in a battle for global supremacy.
Ghana qualified alongside six other African countries — Algeria, Angola, Egypt, Liberia, Morocco and Nigeria — as the continent prepares for a strong showing at the championship.
The Ghana Football Association, in collaboration with the National Amputee Football Association of Ghana and the Ministry of Sports and Recreation, has pledged full support toward the team’s preparations ahead of the tournament.
The FA also expressed gratitude to Gold Fields Ghana Limited for its support, which is expected to boost the team’s readiness and competitiveness.
The Black Challenge will head to Mexico carrying the hopes of Ghana as they aim to make a strong impact on the world stage and build on their impressive continental performances in recent years.
