The Chamber of Oil Marketing Companies is projecting a drop in petroleum product prices at the pumps during the yuletide season.

According to the Board Chairman of the Chamber, Gabby Kumi, global oil prices continue to fall and are expected to decline further in the coming year.

He explained that this trend is largely influencing the local market.

Speaking on PM Express on December 11, 2025, Kumi noted that motorists should brace themselves for a reduction in the second pricing window of December.

“Ghanaians are going to have a very good Christmas in terms of petroleum prices, because already the indication is that the price of finished petroleum products is going down,” he said.

He added that the only challenge is the recent depreciation of the cedi, which significantly affects pricing in the downstream petroleum sector.

Kumi stressed that, given developments on the global scene, Ghanaians can expect a further drop in fuel prices in the coming years.

“If the cedi is held in check, then we can be sure that on the 16th of December, prices of petroleum products will generally go down,” he stated

Currently, fuel (Petrol) is selling at GH¢12.91 per litre, Diesel is going for GH¢13.37, and Liquid Petroleum Gas (LPG) is selling at GH¢13.80.
