A section of Ghanaians have expressed their excitement to GhanaWeb Business following the government’s announcement to abolish several major taxes in its 2025 budget presentation.
The Minister of Finance, Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson, presented the 2025 budget to Parliament on Tuesday, March 11, 2024.
As part of his presentation, he announced plans to abolish several key taxes, including the Electronic Transfer Levy (E-Levy), betting tax, VAT on specific goods and services, and the COVID-19 levy, among others.
GhanaWeb took to the streets of Accra to gather public reactions.
