Social media users in Ghana have criticized Black Stars head coach Otto Addo after a few important players excelled for their individual teams after the team’s appalling performance against Sudan in the 2025 African Cup of Nations qualification.

These worried parties drew attention to the fact that Otto Addo often plays players outside of their natural positions due to his ignorance of tactics.

Others think that one other thing preventing the players from shining for the Black Stars is the coach’s incapacity to implement the right plans to help the team come together. The comments were made following Mohammed Kudus’ goal in West Ham’s 4-1 English Premier League loss to Tottenham.

Fatawu Issahaku assisted Jordan Ayew in the game as Leicester City defeated Southampton 3-2. Ayew also scored the game’s winning goal. In the Spanish La Liga, Athletic Bilbao defeated Espanyol with ease thanks to a brace from Inaki Williams. These all took place immediately following the international break.

Following four games, Sudan sits in second place with seven points, Angola leads with twelve, and Ghana is third in Group F with two points. November 2024 will see the Black Stars travel to Angola and their final game in Ghana versus Niger.
