RSC Anderlecht delivered a commanding performance at Lotto Park, thrashing KAA Gent 6-0 in Belgian Pro League action on November 24, 2024.

The hosts extended their dominance in the historical head-to-head to 22 wins, with a clinical display against a Gent side reduced to nine men.

Mats Rits opened the scoring in the 23rd minute with a precise strike from distance. Anderlecht’s momentum snowballed as Samuel Edozie doubled the lead in the 38th minute, followed by Kasper Dolberg’s exquisite free-kick just before halftime.

Gent’s night unravelled further with two red cards, first for Jordan Torunarigha in the 43rd minute and later for Matisse Samoise in the 75th.

Dolberg added his second in the 77th minute, capitalizing on Gent’s defensive collapse. Tiago Araújo’s own goal in the 85th compounded the misery before Ghanaian-born winger Francis Amuzu capped the rout with a sublime finish in the 88th minute, his second league goal of the season.

Anderlecht now shifts focus to their Europa League clash against FC Porto on November 28, brimming with confidence after this emphatic victory.
