Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Alison Raji Atuluk, an officer of the Ghana Police Serivce (GPS), has been awarded a Certificate of Recognition by the United Nations (UN) for her exemplary performance and unwavering commitment to peace and security in Central African Republic (CAR).

ASP Atuluk is currently serving with the United Nations Multidimensional Integrated Stabilisation Mission in the Central African Republic (MINUSCA), where her “dedication to duty and professionalism have not gone unnoticed,” a GPS statement said.

ASP Atuluk is the first female officer to command a UN parade in Central African Republic (CAR).

She was honoured by UN authorities and the CAR Inspector-General of Police (IGP) during a ceremonial parade “where she flawlessly commanded and demonstrated discipline, precision, and leadership,” the GPS noted.

“She continues to work with her colleagues to mentor CAR’s policewomen, share her expertise, and help build the capacity of local law enforcement,” the statement added.

On her part, ASP Alison Raji Atuluk remarked, “I am proud to represent Ghana and contribute to peace in CAR while empowering my fellow women in uniform.”

“Service to humanity knows no borders,” she highlighted.
