Manchester City midfielder Rodri beat fierce competition from Real Madrid trio Jude Bellingham, Vinicius Jr., and Dani Carvajal to win the 2024 Ballon d’Or.

The four-house race was cut down to two with Rodri and Vini being the favourites for the award but the former had the better of the Brazilian in the end.

There have been divided opinions among football fans after the ceremony in France on October 28, 2024.

Some are disappointed by the outcome, while others affirm that Rodri was the rightful winner.

The debate among football fans stretches to the streets of Accra, hence, GhanaWeb engaged with some Ghanaians to get their thoughts on Rodri winning the award ahead of Vini Jr.
