Ghanaian music, comedy, and tradition will take the spotlight in Marseille this September, as the GoldCoastEvent Festival 2025 Marseille Edition celebrates Ghana’s vibrant cultural heritage in one of France’s most dynamic cities.

Set to take place on Friday, September 13, 2025, at 45 Boulevard Frédérick Sauvage, the festival serves as a cultural bridge between Ghana and the Francophone world.

It offers a unique opportunity for Ghanaians living in France and neighbouring countries to reconnect with their roots, while sharing their rich traditions with a broader international audience.

Now a fixture on the Ghanaian cultural calendar in Europe, the GoldCoastEvent Festival has grown into an important platform for artistic expression, unity, and diaspora engagement.

This year’s edition carries special significance with the presence of the Nananom Traditional Council of Marseille, who will be honoured guests at the event.

Their participation underscores the festival’s commitment to preserving and promoting Ghanaian customs abroad.

The entertainment lineup features some of Ghana’s most well-known comedic talents, including Salinko and Quappiah, whose performances are expected to bring a blend of humour, social commentary, and nostalgia.

The event will also highlight Highlife music, the iconic genre that has long served as the heartbeat of Ghanaian culture.

Organisers say the festival is about more than just entertainment—it is about identity, connection, and pride.

“We are not just celebrating music and comedy,” said a festival spokesperson. “We are celebrating who we are as a people, and we’re inviting the world to join us.”

Marseille, often regarded as France’s second cultural capital after Paris, provides a fitting backdrop for this celebration of Ghanaian heritage, one that resonates with both the local African diaspora and the city’s diverse population.

The GoldCoastEvent Festival 2025 invites all Ghanaians, Francophones, and global citizens to come together for a night of rhythm, laughter, and cultural exchange.
