    The official nominations for the 69th Grammy Awards will be released on Friday, November 7, 2025.

    While the world waits to see who gets nominated and eventually wins, Ghanaians await which artiste will make the nominee list for the awards scheduled for February 1, 2026.

    Several Ghanaian musicians have submitted their works for consideration in the upcoming Grammy Awards, marking a proud moment for the country’s diverse music scene.

    Let’s take a look at the artists whose works are under consideration.

    M.anifest

    The versatile rapper is in the race with his album “New Road and Guava Trees” under the Global Music Album category, and his song “Wine and Blues” for Best African Music Performance.

    Gyakie

    Representing the new school of Afro-fusion, Gyakie submitted “After Midnight” for Best Global Music Album, “Sankofa” for Best Global Music Performance and Best Music Video, and “Damn U” featuring 6lack for Best African Music Performance.

    Black Sherif

    The hitmaker is attempting to make his mark with “Iron Boy” in the Best Global Music Album category and “So It Goes” under Best African Music Performance.

    Shatta Wale

    The Dancehall king is vying for recognition with “Street Crown (African Dancehall)”, which has been submitted for Best African Music Performance.

    MOG Music

    Gospel sensation MOG Music is also making a strong showing with entries in Best New Artiste, Record of the Year (“Amen”), and Best Contemporary Christian Music Performance/Song with “Praise the Lord” and “Thanksgiving.”

    Epixode

    The artiste has his song “Chooboi” approved for consideration by the Recording Academy in the Best African Music Performance category for the 68th Grammy Awards.

    Kwaw Kese

    The Ghanaian Hiplife star known as “Abodam,” also confirmed that his song “Twist” has been submitted for consideration for the upcoming Grammy Awards (68th ceremony).

    If any of these entries receive a nomination, it will mark another milestone in Ghana’s ongoing journey toward Grammy glory.
