Excitement surrounding the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations continues to build as the Destination Morocco 2025 Land of Football caravan makes its way across the continent, uniting fans and storytellers ahead of Africa’s biggest football showpiece.

The travelling initiative made up of journalists, influencers, content creators, football Management and communication professionals is journeying by road to Morocco to celebrate African football culture and strengthen unity among nations.

The group arrived in Ghana on Tuesday after officially starting off from Benin and passing through Togo. On Tuesday, 9 December 2025, members of the caravan met the press at a briefing at the Fiesta Royale Hotel in Accra, offering updates on their expedition and reflecting on the mission’s purpose.

Participants represent several countries qualified for AFCON 2025, including Nigeria, Kenya, Egypt, Gabon, Mali, Guinea, Uganda and South Africa among others.

Many described Ghana as one of the most memorable stops so far, citing the energetic atmosphere in Accra, the warmth of the people, and familiar favourites such as jollof rice.

They also highlighted the deep national pride Ghanaians place in football a sentiment that aligns perfectly with the message of African solidarity the project aims to promote.

Organisers say the road trip not only celebrates sport but also showcases Africa’s rapidly growing digital creative space.

The initiative emphasises the rising influence of content creators and storytellers in shaping modern football culture, especially as the continent prepares for AFCON 2025.

During their stay in Accra, the team visited the Ridge City Women’s Football Club, donating footballs and an undisclosed sum of money to support the development of the women’s game.

They also made a stop at the Kwame Nkrumah Memorial Park and Mausoleum before continuing their journey through Cape Coast, Takoradi and onward to the Elubo border into Côte d’Ivoire.

Leader of the delegation, Zul Ngoufonja CEO and founder of Quick-Witted Management expressed his appreciation for Ghana’s hospitality, saying the country’s passion for football and cultural vibrancy had energised the entire group.

From Côte d’Ivoire, the caravan will continue through, Senegal and other African countries before finally arriving in Morocco on 20 December just one day before the official kickoff of AFCON 2025.
