Ghana’s Black Queens face a must-win clash against Mali today, Friday, July 11, 2025, in their second match of the 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) at the Berkane Stadium.

After suffering a 2-0 defeat to South Africa in their opening game, Ghana need three points to boost their hopes of progressing to the next round.

Head coach Kim Lars Bjorkegren has made just one change to the side that started on Monday, with Cynthia in goal and Portia Boakye once again captaining the team.

Deputy captain Jennifer Cudjoe is handed her first WAFCON start in a bold move to inject fresh energy into the squad.

Kick-off is at 4 pm today, with fans hoping the Queens can bounce back and keep their continental dreams alive.
